Rockshop counsellor | Camp America

I worked at a teen summer camp in the mountains of New York State. I not only cared for the wellbeing of five 14 year old girls in my bunk and supervised their daily activities and development during a 10 week program, but I also collaborated with a team of counsellors to create a fun, engaging, and memorable summer for campers as part of the ‘Rockshop’ activity. As part of the ‘rockshop’ program, I helped run activities like music quizzes, music appreciation, rhythm games at the pond, and rockband, where I helped teenagers start their bands and perform on the stage at camp in front of their peers and parents. During the rockshop program, I was also the only drum teacher, often taking on 8-9 teenagers at a time.
